System of Survival, Pietro ‘Bingo’ De Lisi and Alex Carpentieri, are dedicated purveyors of all that is good in house music. They’ve held a residency at the legendary Circo Loco at DC10 in Ibiza since its inception. Their ability to carry a crowd, seamlessly blend styles and support the countless guest DJs is a true testament to the role of a resident and led them to fly the Circo Loco flag across the globe.
Apart from touring with the DC10 crew, Bingo and Alex have been steadily riding a wave of popularity, gaining momentum through their own headlining dates at Panorama Bar & Watergate, Berlin: Movement Detroit Festival, BPM Festival in Mexico, Verboten & Output in New York, Womb in Tokyo and Fabric London. A commitment to style beyond what’s trendy and ease in mixing the old with the new, has earned them the title of a DJ’s DJ.
Alex explains, “Our sets have never really fit to one particular style or type, Bingo has a Soul and Funk background whereas mine is more Detroit or Chicago techno inspired so when we play it’s a real blend of the styles, making something different completely, something new.”
As true aficionados, SOS boast an extensive back catalogue of music, across styles and genres, and nowhere is this more evident than in their productions. Their first LP album – Needle And Thread – is a both a reflection on their future vision of house, and a tribute to the sounds that have inspired them to this point. After a chance listening by Ellen Allien, it has been signed and released on BPitch Control.
Their last Remixes for Roisin Murphy’s new single and DJ Pierre’s classic tune are a prelude to their new Album out in September 2016 on Get Physical.
Now in his mid twenties, Italian Luigi Madonna has been appearing on flyers since the age of just 14 when he got an early break playing the Impero II club. What was initially just a hobby soon turned into a full time pursuit for the man and now he spends his weekends playing in North and South America, South Africa and all across Europe. Born in the same town as Joseph Capriati – who has been something of a mentor for Madonna – the man’s sound leans heavily on techno in the mould of greats like Rino Cerrone, Chris Liebing, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke and Richie Hawtin.
Since 2008 Luigi has been released on influential labels like Material Series, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Richie Hawtin and John Aquaviva’s Plus 8. Each of the records shows a dynamic passion for music and takes in an endless search for new sounds away from the norm. Some of the most important releases in his career include the ‘Madonna EP’ released on the influential Loose Records in 2009 and then more recently EPs like ‘In the Box’ on Excentric Muzik , ‘Venus De Milo’ on Octopus, his latest works on Analytictrail, ‘New World’ with a remix from his mentor Joseph Capriati and the well received ‘Sensation EP’ on the hugely influential Plus 8 label. These have all helped stand Luigi apart from the crowd and showcased his constant search for experimental and unpredictable sounds.
DJs like Richie Hawtin, Pan Pot and Adam Beyer have all been known to chart or play Luigi’s precision cut techno weapons in the past. As a remixer, too, Luigi is much in demand having reworked for artists and labels including Trapez, Hidden, Analytictrail, Mauro Picotto, Markantonio, The Advent, Sasha Carassi, spektre and has also appeared on a number of compilations like Best of Driving Forces, Looking Ahead on Octopus Records and Rekluse Gold Volume Two.
As for the future there will be more remixes and originals, as well as plenty of appearances on radio shows around the world. So many requests have come in recently his 2013 is full already, so look out for guest slots on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio Show, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode show and Marco Bailey’s Elektronic Force podcast.
Known to have a golden touch when it comes to dance floor destroyers, Noferini is a shining example that true talent rises to the top.
A long time champion of house music in all its forms, Stefano has been building his legend for some time. Always innovating sounds and crossing into a broad range of genres has been a key factor in his well-deserved rise. Never one to stagnate, Stefano has merged all the musical elements at his disposal into a brilliant sound experience that no one can match.
Hailing from Italy, Stefano Noferini is one of the nations most respected DJs and producers. Having been a pivotal force in Italy’s burgeoning house music scene with his national radio show, Stefano forged a musical symbiosis with his homeland that still exists today. Years of top productions have cemented his status at the top of the dance music food chain. One peek inside ANY DJs CD wallet and you can bet they’re packing something from this hit maker.
Technical prowess notwithstanding, Stefano Noferini is truly a DJs DJ. When he takes charge of the wheels of steel, everyone is absorbed in the musical journey. Fellow DJs, who would normally hide in their dressing rooms, are always sure to catch Stefano if they share the bill with him. Something magical happens with Stefano on the decks, a real energy takes hold and people get connected to music in a way that is beautifully pure. If you want to lose yourself in music, Stefano is for you!
Of course, Stefano is also a top seller on Beatport, holding numerous #1 positions in just about every genre they have. His original music and remixes are charted heavily by a diverse range of talented DJs both of the commercial and underground variety. He’s also been named Beatports “Breakout Artist of the Year” in 2010, and was nominated as their “Artist of the Year” in 2011. He has even crossed into a more commercial territory by overtaking artists like Pitbull, Shakira, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé to score a #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot Dance chart.
On the clubbing circuit, Stefano Noferini is a top draw. Ministry of Sound, Euphoria, H20, F-135, Space Miami, Space Ibiza, Cocoon Frankfurt, Lief Festival, Sankeys and Row 14 have all seen Noferini pack the house on any night he plays. His infectious driving rhythms and brilliant command of the music he plays keeps people dancing until the very last beat drops. And then they want more!
It seems there is only an upward momentum swirling around this incredible talent, but the man at the center of it all stays humbled by all the attention. He continues to expand his global reach by growing his well-known radio program, Club Edition, into new territories each month. The show currently is heard by millions of people in some 15 countries worldwide. His imprint, Deeperfect Records is bringing superior sounds to the masses with sexy tech inspired grooves penned by today’s most relevant producers: Stefano Noferini, Wally Lopez and Paolo Mojo to name a few. It is one of the most respected dance labels today, no question.
But it’s Stefano’s incredible DJ sets that keep fans clamoring for more from this innovative Italian master. While other DJs just mix music, Stefano Noferini takes the art of the DJ to a whole other level. Stefano has the ability to tap right into our primal need to dance, you may miss the subtle expertise filling your mind with proper house grooves, but your body will hail the call, understand, and you’ll be dancing like you’ve never danced before.
He is what dance music is all about.
What Pirupa has accomplished in the last years is astounding and this is just the tip of the iceberg, making him one of the producers and DJs you have to watch.
A talented DJ/producer from Italy, Pirupa has recently separated himself from the pack of successful producers by topping beatport’s charts with his last releases. Now with two of the most downloaded tracks on Beatport “Sweet Devil” in 2009 , “Get Funky” in 2010 and “Party Non Stop” in 2012, the sky’s the limit for this relentless talent from the small peninsula.
Signed to impressive (well known) dance record labels in the world (Drumcode, Crosstown Rebels, Desolat, Intec Digital, Get Physical, Defected, Cècille, Viva Music, Saved, Noir Music, Rebirth, Snatch! Records, Suara, Stereo) Pirupa has recently remixed Sharam and the legendary Jamiroquai for Universal, more than Riva Starr, NiCe7, Luca Agnelli among others.
Pirupa has accomplished this in a short period of time, building a reputation that takes most artists a lifetime to achieve. A feat like this can cause some people to sit back, relax, and acknowledge their own success but this has only caused Pirupa to work harder with new hot releases!
His success in the studio led to rank at #11 in the Top100 Most Charted Artists of 2010 on Resident Advisor and has landed Pirupa gigs at some of the most prestigious clubs in the world, gracing the decks of many leading venues.
His “Party Non Stop”, first released on Desolat and then on Defected, has been recently awarded “Track of the Season” at the Ibiza DJ Awards 2012 and has also been the most charted track on Resident Advisor for the whole 2012.
His DJ sets are a mixture between House and Tech House, with some Deep and Techno vibes, which have brought him to play alongside legends such as Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Pete Tong, Marco Carola, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish and many more.
Pirupa’s tracks are regularly supported and played by Pete Tong, Luciano, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Paul Van Dyk, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Danny Tenaglia, Dubfire, Nick Curly, Erick Morillo, Matthias Tanzmann, Steve Lawler, Nic Fanciulli, Joris Voorn, James Zabiela and Mark Knight to name a few.
Dj producer Italiano.
