Fabrizio Maurizi is a native of Bologna (Italy), a city that has always paid particular attention to the original Detroit Techno movement, making it the perfect place to grow up in terms of music. After a brief spell as part of the city’s militant illegal rave scene, Fabrizio soon graduated to residencies at some of the most important clubs in the country.
Fabrizio started producing his own sounds, switching to music software programs after 10 years of studying piano. Completely hooked on very low bassline frequencies, his tracks explore the sometimes dark, sometimes funky side of techno, using completely mad vocal samples to give his music a unique flavour. Fabrizio definitely has DJing in his blood, liking nothing more than to lead the dancefloor out of darkness into light and vice versa, allowing his music to slowly evolve through the interplay of rhythmic analog elements and jumping basslines.
His dj set is an endless journey between house and techno, the sun and the moon, with no boundaries between the music genres: the organic elements are perfectly melted with futuristic sci-fi atmospheres.
In 2007 he founded with his friend/partner Idriss D the label Memento, releasing his first ep “Hasta la Baldoria Siempre” that was an incredible start for an unknown artist and label: the ep joined quickly the top ten everywhere.
One year after Fabrizio realized his dream joining the Minus family, where he started to produce and performing with.
Now Fabrizio is delivering his unique music all over the world, playing in the best clubs like Fabric , Rex , Robert Johnson , Womb , Cocoricò , Cocoon…just to name a few, garnering an underground very high reputation for his unmistakable dj set.
Ruben Mandolini, DJ & Producer originally from Prato (IT), was captured by music at the age of 13 leading him to learn new instruments such as the guitar, keyboard and modular synthesizer later. He then started to attend the most influential clubs in Tuscany, discovering electronic music which excitement led him to begin his career as a DJ in some of the smaller clubs in the province. In this new growing culture of house and techno he was able to devote himself to Djing and then naturally moved to music production.
His dedication, professionalism and determination which is also reflected in his DJ sets has brought him over the years to perform in many of the major Tuscan clubs contributing to make him resident DJ of CLUB999 in Prato, which became his undisputed home.
Ruben’s unique approach to his sound and his recognisable style brought him to be noticed by some notable and respected labels such as Defected, Toolroom, Kitsune, Snatch!, Terminal M, Suara, Great Stuff and Area Remote to name a few and with collabs/remixes with/for Todd Terry, Airplane, Coyu, Ramon Tapia, Piemont, The Junkies, Danilo Vigorito, Mario Ochoa, Macromism and The Deepshakerz among others.
Being noticed by Riva Starr and his Snatch! Records Team, Ruben finds a home label where he can freely express himself with the support of a music family giving him advice and helping him with directions and constant feedbacks, bringing Ruben to grow in the music scene and being associated with same key players in the current underground movement.
He produces “Also” in 2012 on Snatch! Records, a track which increased his exposure to the public staying in the digital stores’ sales charts for months and charted/supported by a massive amount of renowned fellow producers. Ever since Ruben’s visibility has raised and his productions increasingly receiving great feedbacks and support by both magazines/blogs and colleagues such as Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier, Paco Osuna, Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber, Anja Schneider, Mark Knight, Reboot, Riva Starr, Monika Kruse, Gregor Tresher, Butch, Mathias Kaden, Nick Curly, Noir and lots more.
Ruben is now well on the path to become a relevant player in the underground house and techno scene, with interesting releases and gigs plans for the new year…so keep an eye on this raising star!
Although still barely into his twenties, Marco had the privilege of a musical background in his family, allowing him to delve into experiments with electronic music from such early times as playing his first gig aged only 14 in his hometown of Lucca, Italy. Almost 10 years later Marco is working hard to present his sound on the international music scene, with scores of releases included his 2010 HIT Ep ‘STRANGE NEIGHBORS’ on Moon Harbour, his solo EPs ‘WANT LIFE TIME’ and ‘HARD TIME TO TRAVEL’, creating a real stir and were featured on playlists of top DJ’s everywhere. Along with further releases on labels like Get Physical Music, Sci+Tec, Truesoul, Cècille, Be As One, All Inn, Break New Soil, Four:Twenty, inMotion music, Superfiction, Catwash and for his own label Etruria Beat, it seems that Marco will be fast developing an enviable discography for such a young artist in the scene.

As a teenager Fabio studied at “Giuseppe Verdi” academy, Prato. However, it is fair to say that he spent most of his youth in night-clubs or festivals across Europe; spreading the essence of music & fun on his own skin and building his knowledge week by week and experiencing the party scene first hand.
In 2007 Fabio moved to London where for the first time he came into contact with the intricate world of music, he then spent hours and hours in the studio developing his own unique style that rolls techno and tech-house into one soul led him to his first released in early 2011.
Thanks to the many EP releases and remixes on countless European labels he was being recognised and quickly found support from artists like Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Luigi Madonna, Subfactral, Markantonio, Sasha Carassi and many more from across the globe. Such positive support has touched Fabio and has led him to concentrate not only with producing, he has also refined his own vision of music through his dj sets.
The fact that he’s never satisfied sees him in constant search of music, tools and new equipment to make him stand out from the crowd.
2012/13 was the period that took him to another level, having moved to Ibiza he came into contact with those who gave him the initial inspiration, his mentor, Richie Hawtin and his concept Enter.
ENTER. & Ibiza gave him everything he needed to understand what people expect from music. Throughout the year he was incredibly lucky to listen, dance and experience many of his productions played by the best djs on the most talked about dance floors in the world Space Ibiza & Amnesia.
Having held various residencies at Club 999 in his hometown and playing for Kehakuma “Zen Garden”this has seen Fabio take control of the floor like never before.
2014 and a new era for Fabio has begun. Having already cemented himself firmly within the ENTER. family. Fabio has become a central resident to the ENTER. party at Space Ibiza. Taking on the Sake room this year for six dates and also a prolific Enter. Main appearance before Marc Houle, Luciano and Richie Hawtin. This residency has launched Fabio at lighting speed onto the international circuit and garnered many fans for the Tuscan native.
Now onto August 2014 and things are heating up again. With his first EP “Be yOu” on Minus already out. There is no stopping.
With a huge portfolio of releases behind him, amazing gigs and unique achievements it’s clear that Fabio Florido has proven that he is one to watch for the future with the simple fact that the “best is yet to come” !
DJ Tennis born in the 70’s and raised between New Jersey, Sicily and Parma in a family who paid just a passing attention to music. No relatives played any musical instruments, nor were there any around the home – music was never given any special amount of love in the Romano household. But despite this, and perhaps as a direct result of this, Romano’s creative and artistic attitude has always centred around music: singing, creating and collecting weird and noisy musical instruments at every turn.
In 1988 before embarking on computer science studies he was already playing and singing in college bands and had an indie rock radio show on a local radio station in Palermo.
Recording with bands, organising events and DJing at the local tennis club where he used to play semi-professionally (his DJ moniker comes from his passion for the sport) became his way to support the costs of his studies, though when he graduated he never imagined he would turn that hobby into his fully-fledged career. Whilst starting out as a DJ he began focusing on promoting new underground music in his country, founding and developing some of the most important Italian underground musical events such as the Elita festival in Milan and the Dissonanze festival in Rome – at the same time creating forward-thinking new promotional concepts around the Italian clubbing scene.
In the early 90s Romano also started producing music for theatre, movie soundtracks and TV commercials, his production skills always taking inspiration from the psychedelic, dark and melancholic sounds of the 60’s, thru to early 2000’s IDM. The range of influences paint a picture of his musical worldview: The Beach Boys, The Who, Talk Talk, Ultravox, XTC, Fugazi, June of 44, Suicide, Radiohead, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Plastikman – into every musical project he poured elements, sounds & feelings from all of these artists and many more.
In 2010, after growing tired of the the more overtly generic output of the contemporary scene he decided to collect all of his musical works and, along with Thugfucker’s Greg Oreck, started a new techno and pop label called Life and Death. The name of the label has a specific meaning, inspired by the socratic method of the maieutic process to turn ‘dead’ elements into a new life, and referring to the hypnotic power of music used in the mesmeric processes for brain therapy. Life And Death was alive.
Romano bases himself in Berlin where he also shares the label experience and a studio with the innovative deep electronic duo Tale of Us, whilst he working hard to create a crew of young and inspired musicians like Clockwork and Esperanza, amongst others. On top of all of this he still maintains his main job is still being a Promoter and a Booking agent in 2012. He may go by the name Tennis but he continues to be a hugely talented all-rounder.
Tale Of Us are Berlin-based DJ and production partnership Karm and Matteo who are currently re-writing the rulebook for deeply moving, emotional electronic music. Together they share a sonic vision that pulls together elements of house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco and even rock music. While all of their productions are instantly recognizable as Tale Of Us, these range from straight-up dance floor jams to low-slung ambient tracks and more abstract compositions. While both originally hail from North America, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Italy as children, which is where they met and formed the close working bond that they now share.
