René
Renato Gimani (Rome, 1976), know as Renè, is one of the Dj resident of Circoloco. The passion for music comes from his dad that hosted a radio program where he dedicated songs to the listeners. Renato was very young when he started to go to clubs, only 12. But the love for music was too strong. In this way he started to listen to dance, black and garage music. In a few years he moved to Riccione and was there where he started to play in several clubs: “Peter Pan”, “Titilla”, “Cocoricò, “Prince”, “Diabolika”. Renè was there when the italian club culture lead the scene.
He became resident Dj for three years at “Contatto” in Bologna. This club in those years was a rock for several people and for rising Djs.
Before he decided to leave Italy and move to Ibiza he played at the “Doc Show”. He loved immediately “la isla” and started to play in private parties and in bars. It didn’t take long to meet Antonio and Andrea, that offered him a chance to play at “Circoloco” in DC10; today known as one of the best parties in the world. In these period his dj career developed definitively. Renato decided to play only techhouse and electronic music. Increasing his passion in this genre he had the chance to play in the best clubs in Europe: “Monegros Festival”, “Sonar Festival” (Spain), “The End” (London), “Watergate” (Berlin), “Arena” (Berlin), “Bar 25″ (Berlin) and “Circoloco” World Tour!
Today Renato with the partnership and the friendship of Gabriele Carasco has produced and released records in various international labels, and opened their own label, soon on the market. They start producing records together that will be published in various international labels.
His last release exit for Madhouse Record with rmx of Kerri Chandler.

Michel Cleis
Michel Cleis has come a long way since releasing his super-distinctive smash hit ‘La Mezcla’ back in 2009. One of the bona fide anthems of that summer and an Ibiza staple to this day, it stands as a testament to Michel’s undeniable musical talent. Now a globally established DJ/producer with a slew of acclaimed productions to his name, his eclectic and diverse taste for melodies and warm grooves has lead him to collaborate with some of the biggest artists in the industry and to craft a unique style embracing several influences and backgrounds. But if you want to experience Michel at his best, it’s best to see and hear it in person: you won’t be disappointed. “The vibe depends on the season on the place, on the club and the crowd. But I enjoy making people happy and excited with some good, groovy music. Happiness Is the first feeling I have thinking about a DJ set and I try to use different colours to make it happen, from disco to deep or tech-house, even techno and soul , always in a groovy way!”
Born and raised in the Italian part of Switzerland, Michel Cleis speaks five languages, and grew up listening to everything from Miles Davis and John Coltrane to the Beatles and Italian singer-songwriter Lucio Battisti thanks to his parents’ enthusiasm for music. As a university student, he witnessed the blossoming of the underground electronic scene. “Music was an accident for me. During my student years at Lausanne University, I met Stephan Mandrax (half of Shakedown and co- runner of the Liquid Groove label). It was at the end of the 80s, Stephan was organizing the first house parties in Lausanne and also starting with producing music using samplers, that was my first connection with electronic music production I had a bad basketball accident at that time and this became a great excuse to buy a sampler!” From ‘La Mezcla’ and right through to ‘Mir A Nero’ and 2015 summer smash
‘Marvinello’, Michel’s sound is soulful, percussive, firing and always in flight: it’s no wonder his music is supported by tastemakers from Pete Tong and Gilles Peterson to Carl Cox and Koze. “I do not have a unique way of producing. Sometimes I start with samples, losing them during the final arrangement. I just take a groovy loop to breathe a feeling and this takes me somewhere finally. Sometimes it’s about a voice or weather conditions of the day. Anyway, what drives the whole process is the goal: if I think about how the music is supposed to make you move, I will keep different elements. I mean, there is a soundtrack for every moment of my day. During the creative process the point is to figure out where i want to go with my elements and my feelings.” And what did DJ Koze say about your music initially? “We were at the end of this minimal music time and he just told me thank you for bringing some sunshine in this boring techno era! I keep it in my mind.”
It’s all about feelings for Michel Cleis. Joining Cadenza and its residency at Pacha and Ushuaïa in 2010 was a timely move for Cleis, who is now part of the Vagabundos circus of performers and an active member of Luciano’s DJ crew and label. A seasoned fixture on the house and techno circuit, he has released on acclaimed labels like Rekids, Supplement Facts, Buzzin’ Fly, Aus, Strictly Rhythm, Defected and Ovum. His works have been featured on compilations such as Radio Slave’s Fabric and Sven Vath’s Cocoon series, with Pete Tong picking 4 of his tracks as Essential Tune Of The Week on his show.
His recent release on Pampa Records was met with widespread success and praise, true to his spirit of making people dance and have fun on the dancefloor. A collaboration with Basement Jaxx on their new album brought out the best in both parties and he has new music incoming on Pampa and an artist album in the works. But in the meantime, he’s enjoying a purple patch with ‘Marvinello’, which again ignited dancefloors across Europe much like ‘La Mezcla’ before it. So how d’you feel about that? “I am totally happy! Because it’s an opening to something new and the first time a big deal has come to the table. I think it’s a good thing, maybe now I am ready to make this step.” You also have fans wanting pictures: we’ve seen that happen repeatedly this summer. “This for me is surprising. I feel like they know only the new stuff but they now also about stuff before, maybe stuff like ‘Mir A Nero’ or ‘La Mezcla’. In Italy, it’s a lot like that already but now also French, English, Spanish and they are younger than before. It’s exciting and incredible, to touch young people with my music is incredible.”
Up next is a that all-important artist album. Back to feelings again. “If I am happy about twelve tracks it will be a miracle! I would also like the pressure of working with a big artist: I could imagine to work with artists I really respect: Sade, Mary J Blige and Bjork, even Madonna ! Almost all soul singers. And Grace Jones.” “Don’t Mess With A Messer,” sung Grace back in the disco days: smart, focused and ready for the next electronic episode, Michel Cleis wouldn’t consider messing about for even a minute.
Martin Buttrich
Martin Buttrich is famously as fluent behind a mixing console as in front of a virtual drum kit. That technical prowess, combined with a fascination for music of every shape, has resulted in outstanding releases on influential labels such as Planet E, Four:Twenty, Cocoon, Poker Flat, Nervous and Desolat. He’s also put his sonic thumbprint on many big ticket artists, notably receiving a Grammy nomination for a Tori Amos remix in 2003. Such diverse musical horizons are rare. While other prolific artists may have slowly watered down their music, Buttrich’s star has risen in diametric opposition. His vision has become more and more condensed, more and more crystallised. Flipping and puncturing grooves in a live setting is a snap for him, and he’s entranced audiences at festivals like Time Warp and Creamfields, at temples of boom such as Fabric (London), Womb (Tokyo), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Panorama Bar (Berlin) and Amnesia (Ibiza) and at worldwide Desolat Experience parties with Loco Dice.
When people say “Buttrich’s music sounds amazing”, they’re not just talking about the catchiness of his compositions or the way he manipulates beats into unique tapestries. His skills with a sonic scalpel – that esoteric ability to navigate the spectrum of audible (and inaudible) frequencies – have given him cachet among sound engineers. An incredible work ethic combined with a flexible, curious, and humorous approach have made him truly great at what he does.
Buttrich’s journey into electronic music began in clubs in Berlin and Hannover at the dawn of the ‘90s, when post-Summer of Love-Europe began to swing to its own hypnotic, machine-like groove. At 18 years old he began experimenting with production as X-Rotation (with Daniel Bross), which led to the projects Rhythm Assault, Sounds of Life and Phunk Diggaz (with engineer Andy Bolleshon).
Buttrich began a notorious collaboration with his then co-worker at Peppermint Jam distribution, Timo Maas, in the mid-‘90s (they worked the telephones together). After setting up his first studio in the basement of the Peppermint Park studio building, the partnership led to over 100 co-productions and remixes that included Madonna, Muse, Fatboy Slim. Josh Wink and Green Velvet. Buttrich has produced funk legend Bootsy Collins, while switching the patterns for artists including Tom Jones, Kelis, Moloko, Depeche Mode, Placebo, Yello, War and Roger Sanchez. His Azzido Da Bass “Dooms Night” remix with Timo Maas hit the UK top ten charts.
All the while he created an impressive library of beats and collected an arsenal of music production equipment for his studio in Timetools, a studio complex founded in 1997 in Hannover with a group of musicians. Buttrich is happy with the subtle crunch of an SP-12 sampler and the ‘smoky’ vibe of his analog mixing desk – adding a bass guitar or other instrument when necessary. But he’s not above having fun with a laptop either: approaching music programs as if they were video games. He doesn’t rely on any one machine or music composition technique, and his array of outboard gear is mouth-wateringly state of the art.
But he never loses touch with the gritty, human side of music, and the environments that it is played in.
Another key musical partnership, with Loco Dice, begun in 2002, undoubtedly inspired Buttrich to delve deeper into the musical histories that first lured him towards after-dark melodies. In a short space of time they’d built up a deep discography creating an era-defining sound in the process. They spent more than half a year living in New York in 2006/2007, with half of Buttrich’s studio set up in a rickety hideaway in Brooklyn that looked out over Manhattan’s vistas. Between late night production sessions and snowstorms, their Desolat label came to life.
Having his debut solo album Crash Test released on Desolat in early 2010, Martin Buttrich is taking his vision to the road, fusing wild imagination with solid musical architecture, cherry-picked inspiration with true perfection of his musical craft.
Since then constantly on tour, in 2011 Martin Buttrich still has dropped a remarkable collection of music – productions like “Fire Files” EP on Desolat or remixes for Marco Carola and Lee Curtiss amongst others.
Currently based in LA, Martin Buttrich is working on his second artist album and a jazz project called The Stoned Autopilot.
Stay tuned.

Seth Troxler
In accordance with Mayan prophecy, Seth Troxler was, in fact, a gift to the world of techno by intergalactic demigods from the distant future. Rumours that Seth Troxler is actually an alien are untrue; in the early first century these demigods kidnapped the virile first-born child of a Roman centurion and his Egyptian trophy wife. After years of travelling around the western end of the Milky Way studying linear algebra, Byronic verse, city planning, and the essentials of electronic music composition, these demigods lost young Seth to the Old God Horus in a game of trans-dimensional backgammon. Before Horus could consume his soul, disguised as Freemasons, they managed steal the young Seth back, and fearing the wrath of Horus, hid him in the Mid-Western town of Kalamazoo where he was raised by a kindly Amish family.
Since then Seth has gone on to ignite the world of house and techno with a constant barrage of sultry vocal jams, in consecutive years got himself voted Number Three, Two and the number One in the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJ Poll, landed much-vaunted residencies at DC10 (Ibiza), Trouw in (Amsterdam) and Output (New York) and opened series of much-lauded pop-up restaurants around East London called ‘Smokey Tails’. He has played many stellar international gigs, notably fabric (London), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Output (New York), Warung (Brazil), Womb (Tokyo), Tenax (Florence), Robert Johnson (Frankfurt), The Rex (Paris), Fuse (Brussels), The Electric Pickle (Miami), plus The Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Glastonbury, Coachella, Sonar and Burning Man. In the studio he has collaborated with such dance luminaries as Matthew Dear, Art Department, Tiefschwarz, Deetron, Subb-an, in addition to groundbreaking remix work done as Visionquest alongside fellow astral refugees Shaun Reeves, Ryan Crosson and Lee Curtiss, remixing artists like Tracy Thorn and David Lynch. 2014 has seen him team up with The Martinez Brother to launch their new Tuskegee label drawing attention on Afro-Latino American icons. In addition to this he’s currently plotting two additional new imprints called Soft Touch, focusing on indie rock, and Play It Say It, putting out straight up dancefloor jams.
Troxler is currently in hiding in Ibiza, where he began his self-imposed exile from the United States after sleeping with then-Senator Barak Obama’s wife. Seth will remain in Europe until his 33rd birthday, at which point he will ascend upon the Levant and battle his way westward as he reclaims his Kingdom. At least that’s what some guy at Burning Man told us.

Jamie Jones
Jamie Jones and his label, Hot Creations, have been credited with creating an iconic sound that has paved the way for a warmer, more melodic, deeper side of techno to emerge.
Widely regarded as the leader of the new sound of house, Jamie Jones is renowned for his pioneering music; his cross genre band, Hot Natured; his groundbreaking label, Hot Creations; and his world-renowned event series, Paradise. In less than a decade, he has catapulted himself to stardom by shattering genres and breaking out of the confines of minimal techno.
Jamie’s revolutionary sound is an instrumental part of his success, being both artistically innovative and yet easily accessible. He and his label, Hot Creations, have been credited with creating an iconic sound that has paved the way for a warmer, more melodic, deeper side of techno to emerge. 2011 was the year that Jamie and Hot Creations took over. Continuing to power out hits, they released Hot Natured’s “Forward Motion,” featuring vocalist Ali Love. But it was Jamie’s remix of Azari & III’s “Hungry for the Power” that was the quintessential song of the year; heard everywhere in Ibiza and beyond.
In 2012, Jamie and Lee Foss evolved their project, Hot Natured, into a full band; adding Ali Love and Luca C as members. Taking elements of the grooves Jamie has long championed and forging them with song based vocals and smooth synth melodies into a live act, Jamie looked to challenge conventions with this new direction. The first Hot Natured single, “Benediction,” reached the top 40 in the UK in 2013 and the debut album “Different Sides Of The Sun” continues to sell strongly six months after its release. In 2014, Hot Natured is viewed as one of the most in-demand electronic live acts globally.
Jamie’s constant touring schedule takes in every major city and festival around the world; including such spectacles as Glastonbury, Timewarp, and Burning Man, as well as highly esteemed clubs like Warung, Fabric, and Womb. His weekly Ibiza party, Paradise, has completed two huge seasons at DC10 and goes into its third year as the fastest growing night on the island. This success has meant that Paradise has been offered stages at some of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals, such as Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Kazantip and BPM and the brand will continue to grow world-wide through 2014.
In early 2012, Jamie was voted the number one DJ in the world by Resident Advisor. He continues to be seen as a leader in his field and an innovator who will dictate the direction of a booming industry.

DINO ANGIOLETTI
Born artistically in the Bologna club Kinki – one of the cult clubs for the development of the Italian house – Dino Angioletti immediately catalysed the attention of the entire scene, thanks to a very personal interpretation of electronic, with Detroit influences, deep approach and strong sense of groove.
This residence opens to him the doors of the most famous Italian clubs that are impressed by his class in mixing the most different influences: in very little time Angioletti became one of the most popular names in the national panorama, appearing at Echoes (RI), Cocoricò (RI) or Fitzcarraldo (FI), other than the one night Doc Show, Star’s Cake, Angels of Love and Latin Superb Posse, all experiences that shape him and introduce him into the elite of the most famous deejays of the period.
Since 1994 he has become a member of the Pasta Boys crew – with Uovo and Deejay Rame – with whom he produces various hits, he collaborates with superstars like Osunlade, Wunmi, Masters At Work and established the Manocalda label, to give space to new productions Made In Italy with a strong experimental touch.
Because of his success, as a soloist and together, Dino Angioletti gains fame also abroad, in famous clubs in London, Ibiza, Barcelona, Geneva, Switzerland, Miami, Mykonos, Sidney and Melbourne, also gaining contracts with various foreign labels and the Italian label Re>Vox.
At present Dino is starting a new label and collaborating with famous clubs such as Kinki, Folies de Pigalle, Miss America, Echoes, Le Plaisir, Fluid, Juice of Juice, Kama Kama e Red Zone.
FABRIZIO MAURIZI
Fabrizio Maurizi is a native of Bologna (Italy), a city that has always paid particular attention to the original Detroit Techno movement, making it the perfect place to grow up in terms of music. After a brief spell as part of the city’s militant illegal rave scene, Fabrizio soon graduated to residencies at some of the most important clubs in the country.
Fabrizio started producing his own sounds, switching to music software programs after 10 years of studying piano. Completely hooked on very low bassline frequencies, his tracks explore the sometimes dark, sometimes funky side of techno, using completely mad vocal samples to give his music a unique flavour. Fabrizio definitely has DJing in his blood, liking nothing more than to lead the dancefloor out of darkness into light and vice versa, allowing his music to slowly evolve through the interplay of rhythmic analog elements and jumping basslines.
His dj set is an endless journey between house and techno, the sun and the moon, with no boundaries between the music genres: the organic elements are perfectly melted with futuristic sci-fi atmospheres.
In 2007 he founded with his friend/partner Idriss D the label Memento, releasing his first ep “Hasta la Baldoria Siempre” that was an incredible start for an unknown artist and label: the ep joined quickly the top ten everywhere.
One year after Fabrizio realized his dream joining the Minus family, where he started to produce and performing with.
Now Fabrizio is delivering his unique music all over the world, playing in the best clubs like Fabric , Rex , Robert Johnson , Womb , Cocoricò , Cocoon…just to name a few, garnering an underground very high reputation for his unmistakable dj set.

The Martinez Brothers
The Martinez Brothers, two young men from the Bronx, raised on their father’s love of the Paradise Garage and roadtested worldwide before they even left high school, are emerging as leaders in the global house music scene. The guys have held a residency at DC-10 in Ibiza since 2011, and in 2014 their standing within the world of underground house and techno is solid and constantly rising – their DJ sets are full of energy, fuelled by the brothers’ in-depth knowledge and an innate ability to guide the crowd.
The Martinez Brothers have produced a number of dance floor-ready releases since their earliest days at Objektivity,
releasing their first EP, “My Rendition” in 2006 under the guidance of Dennis Ferrer. Other highlights include one of
2013′s big underground Ibiza hits, Santos Resiak’s “A Better Light” (The Martinez Brothers Remix) on One Records. Their ubiquitously popular remix of Green Velvet’s “Bigger Than Prince” (Circus) was named the most-played dance track at ADE 2013, further showing their range as producers and delivering a dark, raw groove with cut-up vocal accents. In late 2013 / early 2014 they released the two-part hip-hop mixtape “Warhol/Basquiat,” which Philip Sherburne named SPIN Magazine’s Dance Track of the Week, saying: “At their best, their beats have a quizzical, psychedelic feel, stretching loops of Donna Summer and George Duke into long strips of taffy and turning up the humidity until they dissolve on their own.” This year they’ve teamed up with DJ Gregory / Point G with “What’s the Point?” the first release on his new label, Ever Lasting LovE.
2013 marked the beginning of their homespun event series Mad Beats & Crazy Styles, offering the brothers a space to explore their New York dance music roots. They have also conceived a new record label, Cuttin’ Headz, which will be a home to their musical experimentations. Also this year comes the premier of Tuskegee, the brainchild of The Martinez Brothers and Seth Troxler. Using the black and Latino musical experience in the US in the early 90s as inspiration, TMB and Troxler will be putting out a series of vinyl-only releases as well as a clothing line.
Earlier this year, The Martinez Brothers broke into the world of high fashion by traveling to Paris to provide music for Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy Menswear and Womenswear Fall / Winter 2014 /15 collections. The track “Flawless” has already been featured in a Style.com exclusive preview of the Nike RT Air Force 1 Collection, offering a first glimpse of Riccardo Tisci’s collaboration with Nike.
This year alone the guys have been all over Europe and the Americas, they’ve premiered in Australia, and have plans for a tour of Asia. While on the road they created a behind-the-scenes Coachella photo diary for Rolling Stone and Nylon Guys. Production-wise, they’ve laid down some studio tracks with the legendary Nile Rodgers and have collaborated with Spanish Harlem-born hip hop star Bodega Bamz on his forthcoming mixtape. Despite the whirlwind of activity, Chris and Steve remain positive, down-to-earth guys. When asked about their achievements, they always humbly reply, “We are so blessed!”

Raresh
Raresh is definitely one of the fundamental figures of the up-to-date electronic movement. Born in Bacau, the clubbing scene enchained him at the age of 15, when he started playing in a small club in town, marking his turntable ascension from the age whereupon most of the youngsters are still playing football in the courtyard.
Moving to Bucharest and joining the agency ensured him constant gigs at Sunrise’s events at the seaside and laid him at the deck with Richie Hawtin, Magda, Steve Bug, Ricardo Villalobos, Josh Wink, Pascal FEOS, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle, Pier Bucci, Tobi Neumann … and the list could go on and on.
In 2007, alongside Rhadoo and Petre Inspirescu, he launched the [a:rpia:r] label, whose activity brought each one of them their deserved spot on top of the clubbing scale, becoming one of the most beloved Romanian DJs. With constant gigs all over the world, a strong label, forward releases, two complices to ratify the ping pong – back to back in three – Raresh proved, no doubt, what a complete DJ means and now enjoys all the support and admiration of the electronic music scene lovers.

Starting out as a producer for KissFM, Anja became a radio persona in her own right in 2000 for Fritz Radio. Armed with an engaging presentation style and impeccable taste, Anja’s ‘Under the Blue Moon’ program – which still airs to this day – resonated with Berlin’s music-loving masses and propelled her forward into a career as a club DJ.
After her first forays into production in 2004, Anja joined forces with Ralf Kollmann to found mobilee records the following year. Anja’s keen ear defined the emergent imprint through its early releases, unearthing talented newcomers such as Sebo K and Pan-Pot, and paving the way for her celebrated mobilee debut with Sebo, Rancho Relaxo. Alongside her original work, an extensive list of remixes for labels such as Dessous, Crosstown Rebels, and Diynamic now line the annals of her impressive discography.
As a label head Anja has focused not only on discovering fresh talent, but also on cultivating and developing the mobilee roster, pushing artists to challenge themselves and developing their careers as DJs and musicians. Under her guidance, mobilee and its sister label Leena Music have grown into one of Berlin’s most-watched staples, with a close-knit collection of producers and musicians that carve out a distinct sound in a city teeming with electronic music.
